From Humble Beginnings to Cultural Influence
Legacy City, born Cedric Bellamy, has become one of the most influential independent hip-hop artists in San Antonio over the last decade. Arriving in the city ten years ago, he built his movement from the ground up—evolving from a hungry artist into a chart-topping force and CEO of StreetLigion Productions LLC, a hub for independent artistry.
Consistent Musical Success
Throughout this ten-year run, Legacy City has created a catalog of music that has consistently gained traction:
- “Let Me Vent” (2020) – More than 1 million Spotify streams.
- “I’m Still Venting” (2021) – Another 1M+ streamed project.
- “Motivate Yourself” EP (2022) – Continuing the streak with over 1M streams.
- “Let Me Vent 3” (2023) – A fan-favorite milestone album.
- “The Book of Uriah” (2023) – Nominated for Album of the Yearalongside Grammy-winner Killer Mike.
- “Standing on Business” (2024) – Debuted at #1 on iTunes Hip-Hop and All-Genre charts.
Alongside these, Legacy City has dropped numerous singles that charted on iTunes, proving his ability to merge grassroots hustle with mainstream visibility.
2025: The Year of Ten Albums
To celebrate his tenth anniversary in San Antonio, Legacy City launched an ambitious campaign: releasing ten full-length albums in 2025. Already, projects like A Lucid Love, We Are Not Friends, and You Are Important to Me have hit the iTunes and Amazon charts. Collaborations with heavyweights like Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, Kodak Black, Polo G, and even posthumous verses from Nipsey Hussle and Mac Dre cement his place in hip-hop history.
Beyond Music: Building a Movement
Legacy City’s impact extends far past music. Through StreetLigion Nation Radio and StreetLigion Nation TV, he’s given a platform to countless independent artists. His motto, “The movement is deeper than the music,” reflects his vision: using hip-hop as a vehicle for empowerment, storytelling, and cultural change.
