In 2024, Ty Brueilly brought his hometown of Asheboro, North Carolina its first ever film festival, the Mightier Than The Sword Awards at Sunset Film Festival and therein he built the event with five main components, one of which was a comedy hour.

Teaming up with childhood friend turned business partner and comedian, Neil Hoover to help program the segment, the comedians were a highlight of the festival and quickly became an audience favorite.

Now in it’s fourth installment, Siler City native, and also longtime friend of Brueilly, TFoxx has taken the lead as program director after the unfortunate passing of Hoover in early 2025.

“Neil was such a beautiful and strong soul. He helped me realize the importance of including a level of live stand up comedy within my film festival and introduced me to some really greatcomedians. After his sudden passing, I felt like the momentum we built together needed to continue, so TFoxx stepped up strong and took leadership of the MTTS comedy sector, and now here is his second presentation of our Mighty Comedy Night, I trust him wholehearted with this, it’s going to be a great time for our city and the community.”

Mighty Comedy Night 4 boasts a strong lineup of Tony Rodriguez, Jordan B., JC Allen & Leah Lynn and hosted by Seagrove native, on stage powerhouse and viral sensation, Major Keysss with DJ Soulful Desire enhancing the vibes.

What the audience can expect from the acts:

Major Keysss: “ANYTHING. Expect anything”

Tony Rodriguez (Greensboro, NC): “Expect to see the world the way I see it when I’m on stage, if you’re willing to hop on boardI promise the ride is excellent and hilarious.”

JC Allen (Boones Mill, VA): “Real stories, questionable life choices, and probably a few things I shouldn’t say out loud… but I’m gonna anyway.”

Jordan B. (Knoxville, TN): “Realness, relatable jokes for everyday folks. They won’t leave disappointed.”

Leah Lynn: (Charlotte, NC): “The audience can expect to see a Grown Woman, who doesn look or act her age!”

With all that being said, we would recommend you make plans and arrangements to attend and enjoy what TFoxx & Ty Brueillyis offering to the city of Asheboro and surrounding areas. Mighty Comedy Night 4 will take place at the historic Sunset Theatre, Asheboro, NC.
