Are theaters ready for the next wave of moviegoers? If the upcoming slate is any indication, they better be. Sequels and major releases like Spider-Man: Brand New Day, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, Dune: Part 3, and Avengers: Doomsday are already building massive anticipation. And then there’s Michael, a film many fans are treating less like a movie and more like an event.

According to public reactions, the race for the best-selling film of the year include the following: Spider-man: Brand New Day, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, Dune: Part 3, Avengers: Doomsday, and, of course, Michael.
The Return of Theatre
According to industry trends, theatre attendance is expected to rise by nearly 35%. To be honest, while many of my local theaters have upgraded with premium formats like IMAX and Dolby, the phrase “let’s go to the movies!” had started to feel like something from the past. For the first time in a long time, the movie theatre feels like home.
